The thing about life that sucks the most is the people that live it. Have you ever sat around a group of people, and once it got quiet, looked around and realized that everybody was being held captive by their own thoughts, and wondered what was on their mind, while thinking about what's on yours? We go around everyday and pass somebody up, but never stop to think that the person you walked by is thinking just like you are...feeling pains like you are...but most importantly, is gonna die like you are. We feel we have to be better than others or equal to others, but life already equals us out more than once. People spend their whole lives trying to seek the approval of others or trying to strive to be what others are out of envy or to make the one person we want to want us back. Why? All those people are going to die one day and have to face judgment before GOD and go to Heaven or hell just like you. I learned my lesson about all these things. No one or nothing on this Earth can save your soul but the LORD, so why spend all our energy trying to make these things love you when you're already loved? We sell our souls away piece by piece everyday for the love that we already have from above. So when you walk down the street and you see somebody down and out, or you sit in a room full of people, look at their faces and realize that we are all one in the same and we all have our own crosses to carry, instead of weighing down somebody's cross, help them carry it. Be uplifting instead of abrasive to that of which you don't understand, because one day, it will all be clear. LIFE'S FINAL COMMON DENOMINATOR IS DEATH!
Greetings,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your post by chance, and I'm glad that I had the opportunity to read your words.
I appreciate you putting into words what many of us thinking about almost daily, considering the chaos of the world.
I especially loved when you wrote... "Have you ever sat around a group of people, and once it got quiet, looked around and realized that everybody was being held captive by their own thoughts, and wondered what was on their mind, while thinking about what's on yours?"...amazingly that captured my experience during Thanksgiving. I spent the day with my friend-girl and her family. Well, unfortunately the family wasn't too communicative, so there were a lot of silent moments, aside from the silverwear hitting plates as we ate dinner...so weird! lol
Anyway, I simply wanted to say thank you for showing that positive self-expression is not lost regarding men.
Many men aren't vocal or expressive about their perspectives. I'm a lover of self-expression with words.
So I wish you nothing but good fortune and peace, because you, unlike many others, face the reality of life with open eyes, rather than being disconnected to truth.
Best Wishes,
KaMIAH MoNIQUE
